Mid-Winter Break Assignment

  • Students are to complete the 20 Khan Academy items that I have assigned.
  • Some are exercises, some are videos to watch, some are articles to read.
  • All exercises must have a score of 70% or better to count.  Do them as many times as necessary to achieve a 70% score.  The system records your highest score.
  • Exercises with a 90% or better score will garner extra credit.
  • Winter Break Assignment is worth 120 points.
  • Due Monday, February 25.

  2. INSTRUCTION:  Notes on IAN p. 68 – Recursive and Explicit Formulas
  3. CLASS WORK:  IAN p. 69 – Sequences Graphic Organizer
    NOT ALL CLASSES GOT TO THIS TODAY.  IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE GRAPHIC ORGANIZER, PLEASE SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
  4. HOMEWORK:  Khan Academy (2 assignments)

For students who did not receive the graphic organizer today:

  1.  On your pink “Sequences A through P” sheet, find all 5 arithmetic sequences.
  2. For each arithmetic sequence, write a recursive formula.
  3. For each arithmetic sequence, write an explicit formula.
  4. For each arithmetic sequence, use the explicit formula to find the 12th term in the sequence.
